Snow White Turns Sixty (Suite) arranges three of the 12 songs from Trumbore’s soprano & piano song cycle of the same name for an ensemble featuring soprano, flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano & percussion. The suite retells traditional fairy tales in twisted and modern ways, setting texts by contemporary poets Barbara Crooker and Eileen Moeller. 

 

Snow White Turns Sixty (Suite) was premiered by the Boston New Music Initiative on October 31, 2013.

 

The complete set of twelve Snow White Turns Sixty songs is available in dual arrangements for either soprano & piano or mezzo-soprano & piano and is featured on Snow White Turns Sixty, an album featuring soprano Gillian Hollis singing art-songs by Trumbore.
