"Because I am human" was commissioned by the Central Bucks High School West Women’s Choir (Dr. Joseph Ohrt, conductor) for their performance at the 2016 ACDA Eastern Division Conference.
This piece was part of a larger set of works commissioned for the conference; each 1-minute-long piece was required to include the phrase "because I am a woman."
